I am going to attempt to keep a blog of my travels so I won't have to update everyone individually. This is all new to me so please accept my apologies in advance if my posts come out all mumble-jumbled.
It is now around 3:30pm on Monday March 7th, which means I am just under 48 hours away from take-off! Our flight is on Wednesday at 12:10pm, flying direct from Toronto Pearson airport to Tokyo Narita Airport. We booked a limo to drive us to the airport in the morning (thanks to last week's TeamBuy offer), so that's all taken care of. And it was recommended to us that we take the train into the city to save money on a taxi, so we'll get our feet wet with the intense Tokyo subway system right away. It'll put our Red Rocket to shame, I can't wait to experience something other than the TTC.
I'm meeting a friend at the mall to do some last minute shopping tonight, I have a preliminary list of stuff I need to get, mostly just little things like slippers, soap (they have 'one time use' soap flakes at the dollar store that come in little packets similar to Listerine Pocket Packs - should be perfect for us!), and Gravol. Everyone keeps telling me not to worry about what to pack, I can "just buy everything there". I think that's what I'm scared of, I'll want to bring home every single thing I see!!
Better get back to work, I'm too excited to concentrate, lots to do in the next 2 days! Please stay tuned for more updates, I'll try my best to check in everyday and hopefully post some pictures and videos too. Feel free to pass the link along as well.
