1. They drive on the wrong side of the road here, and the drivers sit on the other side of the car.... doesn't really affect me at all, except for when we go to cross the street and instinctively look left first to see if any cars are coming, only to discover they'd actually be approaching us from the right.
2. You don't tip here. I was warned that you don't have to tip but it still feels really uncomfortable not to leave anything for the servers.
3. Probably 40-50% of the population wears those face masks when they're out. That's all fine and dandy but I'm hard of hearing, I read lips, I don't even know what language anyone is speaking most of the time, not to mention sometimes I can't even tell their gender. >.< Marty, you're up!
4. My hotel room has a front lawn. Ok not really, but there are these strange little iron gates outside every room, as in you physically have to open and close the gate to get in or out.
5. CSI Miami is less terrible when it's dubbed in Japanese. David Caruso actually sounds somewhat intelligent when I can't understand what he's saying.
Hi Kris and Mart! I'm so glad you made it to Japan safe and sound It's so weird not sending random bbms to you throughout the day sniff sniff Hope you enjoy all the yummy food Can hardly wait to see your pics I wanna go to the gym but the motivation isn't quite there dammit I think I'll go shopping and try on some bathing suits, that should do the trick lol Keep the updates coming and big hugs to Tom and Hiromi xoxo
